Prairie's Edge is home to the local chapter of "Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry."
During our first year with this program, we raised enough money to donate 28 deer to our local community.
Did you know that one deer can feed 200 hungry people? Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry transforms deer donated by hunters into nutritious meat for the hungry. The meat is professionally processed by the Brook Locker Plant for distribution by the Humanitarian Distribution Center of Francesville All meat is distributed to local churches and food pantries.
